  • This month we are going to be looking more at the BI side of things. We have Reza Rad coming to share with us his knowledge on Microsoft Power BI.

We are going to have a look at what you can do with Microsoft Power BI.  Power BI now comes with bunch of new tools and features: Power BI Desktop, the editor for Power BI solution, integrates Power Query for data transformation, Power Pivot for modeling, and Power View for data visualization. Power BI also has Android, Apple and Windows apps. The Power BI website provides a level of slicing and dicing for data, as well as dashboards features.

In this session Reza is going to walk us through several live demos on how to get the most out of Power BI in real world scenarios. We will investigate how to build a Power BI report and dashboard on top of a transactional database. We will also look at Custom Visuals, and how to use them in a solution.
